Heat Death of The Universe
You’re invited to celebrate the end of the world! I created an invitation for the theory where the universe can no longer reach thermodynamic equilibrium and therefore can no longer sustain processes that increase entropy. Simply put, the universe freezes to death. My invitation focuses on entropy, a measurement of disorder and randomness. To play on this concept I designed the invitation to come with a cipher so the user would have to take disordered information to find the date, time, and location of the party. I designed line work illustrations to imitate the quality of astrological drawings found in old books and set them in gold to represent the stars in space. I chose to use an early form of writing called Cuneiform because it uses a system of pictograms which felt fitting for my use of illustrated icons.
